Dr. José Augusto Rivera Negrón, president and founder of the Puerto Rican Association of Christian Counseling (APCC), is a distinguished professional in clinical counseling, education, and mental health. He holds a solid academic background, including a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Counseling and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education from Florida Christian University. His background includes experience in pastoral leadership and counselor training, in addition to serving as a professor at this institution. He holds multiple licenses and certifications in professional, clinical, and pastoral counseling, which support his commitment to excellence in the field of mental health. As a pastor and ordained minister, he has served for more than two decades in ministry, guiding the spiritual and emotional growth of his community.
